Sacraments & Devotions

At Blessed Miguel Pro, our mission to form joyfully fearless disciples is rooted in a life close to Jesus Christ. Through prayer, the sacraments, and devotional life, we seek to help each student grow in a personal relationship with God and remain open to His grace. We encourage our students to build lifelong habits of prayer, regular Confession, and faithful participation in the Mass.

Prayer

We gather all students at the beginning and end of each day to center ourselves for learning in prayer.  Prayer happens naturally throughout the day, especially when we have difficult conversations or work to do, before we eat, and whenever we need to offer intentions.

20% of our students do not attend the Catholic Church, but still participate in prayer and our Catholic theology and teaching.

Sacraments

The sacraments are at the heart of the Catholic faith and are one of the primary ways we encounter God’s grace, mercy, and presence in our lives. At Blessed Miguel Pro, our 2nd-grade students receive sacramental preparation for Reconciliation in class. Additionally, priests from Holy Trinity are available for confessions weekly or as requested for our students in 2nd-8th grade.

Our 3rd graders are prepared for the Sacraments of Holy Communion, and Confirmation in class.  Students may choose to celebrate with their class at school or at their home parish.

All students and their families are encouraged to learn more about our faith. If you or your child has not received the sacraments (outside the traditional sacramental age) and would like to speak with someone about joining the Church, please make an appointment to discuss this opportunity with a priest at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Devotions

Students attend Eucharistic Adoration in the chapel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church weekly. They have time to pray and develop their personal relationship with God.

Every day, Monday through Friday, students start their day with daily Mass. This habit is an important part of our faith and encourages an encounter with Christ when we are with him often.  This practice also helps to center the student and faculty on Christ and his purpose for us for the day.  Parents are always welcome to attend!
